International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study and practice of the interactions between sovereign states, as well as the analysis of the relationships among various actors on the global stage, including international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), multinational corporations, and transnational groups. It encompasses a wide range of issues such as diplomacy, conflict, trade, international law, and global governance. The field examines how countries engage with one another, the factors that influence their behaviors, and the impact of these interactions on global peace, security, and economic development. International Relations is informed by various theoretical frameworks, including realism, liberalism, constructivism, and others, which help to explain the complexities of international politics and the dynamics of power. It is a multidisciplinary field that draws on insights from political science, history, economics, sociology, and law to understand and address global challenges.
