Wayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney is a retired English professional footballer and current football manager. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest English players of his generation. Rooney’s playing career began at Everton, where he became the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history at the age of 16. He later joined Manchester United, where he achieved significant success, winning numerous domestic league titles and UEFA Champions League trophies.

Renowned for his versatility, Rooney played as a forward and midfielder, notable for his technical skills, strength, and goal-scoring ability. He is Manchester United’s all-time leading scorer and also played a key role for the England national team, becoming the team’s record goalscorer. After his time in England, he continued his career in Major League Soccer (MLS) with D.C. United and had a brief return to Derby County, where he also took on coaching responsibilities.

Following his playing career, Rooney transitioned into management, taking up the role of manager at Derby County. His contributions to football, both on and off the pitch, have made him a prominent figure in the sport.
